Rémi MARCUS - Founder, Associate Director, Bilan Carbone ® Trainer ADEME

After studying general engineering at the Ecole Polytechnique (X95), Remi has completed his training as a physicist at ENSTA and concurrently completed a Master of Mechanics at the University of Paris-Jussieu. Successively engineer and R&D project manager at the oil services company Schlumberger, he developed his knowledge of the company and its technical and operational experience - particularly through numerous operations in Africa, the Middle East and Northern Europe. Determined to bring his business to his personal concerns, Remi followed - along with his work - the master "Sustainable Development & Organizations" in Paris-Dauphine Université before leaving Schlumberger to launch ECO2 Initiative in 2006. Advisor on sustainable development strategies and expert in energy issues, he is also entitled to use the Bilan Carbon ® Method developed by ADEME.

Shafik ASAL – Founder, Associate Director, Bilan Carbone ® Trainer ADEME

Graduate from the Ecole Nationale Superieure de Genie Industriel (INPG, Grenoble) in 1998, Shafik also holds a DEA in economics experiments from INPG. At first buyer of computer equipment for SMEs Tasq, he then worked as an industrial buyer for General Electric and Honeywell, respectively in the fields of medical imaging and aerospace. A long trip to Latin America (Bolivia, Argentina, Brazil) helped him further develop his knowledge of languages - Shafik speaks French, English, Arabic, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese - and study sociology (one year from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales in Paris), to which he continues to be interested. After completing the master’s "Sustainable Development & Organizations" in Paris Dauphine University, he left Honeywell to engage in the creation of ECO2 Initiative. Specializing in industrial management, process and organization, Shafik is an expert in the implementation of sustainable purchasing policies, AFAQ in internal audit environment and expert ability to use the Bilan Carbon ® Method. At ECO2, he is responsible for projects including audits and development of CSR strategies.

Guillaume GACON – Founding partner, in charge of renewable energy and eco-construction

After studying general engineering at the Ecole Centrale de Lyon (1997), Guillaume was oriented computer science and applied mathematics by obtaining a DEA Modeling Physical Phenomena at the University of Versailles St Quentin Yvelines. Successively engineer and R&D developer at EDF, he has acquired extensive knowledge of energy, and extensive experience in management and teamwork through 4 years of applied research (CEA Saclay, CERFACS Toulouse Météo France). To acquire new skills to become more involved in sustainable development, Guillaume decided to follow on sabbatical a professional Master of one year on the New Energy Technologies in ENSEEIHT Toulouse 2007-2008. He joined ECO2 Initiative to develop the energy division offering extensive expertise in particular aspects related to new energy technologies, eco-construction and funding opportunities for optimizing economic feasibility of innovative projects. He is also acknowledged to use the tool Bilan Carbon ® Method developed by ADEME.

Ugo TOSELLI - Partner, Project Manager Services and Territories

Graduate from Lausanne Hotel School (2001), Ugo worked in the hospitality industry as cost controller and F&B assistant respectively for Concorde Hotels and Hyatt. He also gained strong commercial skills in launching the French activities of one of the major player of the language industry. Concerned by issues linking tourism, environment and local development, he developed an original and professional training method dedicated to usually non-trained illiterates people often hired in the hospitality industry in emerging country. This method was awarded by the EHLITE Institute of innovation (2003), a Lausanne Hotel School organization. Determined to bring his business to his personal concerns, Ugo follows the master "Sustainable Development & Organizations" in Paris Dauphine University (2005). He then joined the French committee for environment and sustainable development for developing the CSR network,and launching the first program on national sustainable tourism. He then contributes to the creation of the Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria. Specialized in CSR and public policy, he developed extensive experience in Agenda 21 and stakeholders consultation.He joined ECO2 Initiative to develop the Services and Territories divisions. Ugo is also acknowledged to use the tool Bilan Carbon ® Method developed by ADEME.

Clémence BARCAT – Engineer

Clémence holds a Master of Physical Geography and Environment and a Masters specializes in the management and prevention of natural hazards. She gets a double-competence following a master turned towards sustainable development and specialized habitat issues , urban planning and sustainable transport. Cartographer, she designed and implemented a geographic information system (GIS) for dendrochronological study phenomena related to heavy flooding of the Guil (Hautes-Alpes, 05), and for flood prevention and management of riparian areas the river Essonne (IdF, 91).

AFNOR certified skills "to build an EMS according to the ISO14001 standard," Clemence also assists our clients in their sustainable development, the achievement of Bilan Carbon ® and the study of noise pollution.

Ornella DE MONCHY – Management assistant

After studying literature, Ornella has acquired many skills in management and organization. As a multilingual assistant managing (Portuguese, Spanish, English), she works within ECO2 Initiative accompanying commercial development, processing financial documents and administration.
